Of course there are other names by which it is known such as 20-BetaHydroxyecdisterone, ecdisten, ecdysone, isoinokosterone, 20-hydroxyecdysterone and ectdisterol. The curious thing about this phytosterol is that it was first discovered in insects. In fact, it is the insects that rely entirely on it for their survival. Could it be precisely the presence of large amounts of ecdysterone in insects that is the logical explanation for their extraordinary strength to body mass ratio? If we, for example, had the proportional strength of an ant, then we could easily lift a car and carry it easily over our heads for miles. However, the option of taking even a small amount of "insect-derived" ecdysterone in dietary supplement form is not attractive. Fortunately for us, this same ecdysterone is not extracted directly from insects. It can be found in herbs and botanicals such as Rhaponticum/Leuzeae and Cyanotis vaga and is therefore a naturally occurring phytosterol. Until recently, however, it was not easily extracted from said plants. Although it was already well known and tested in Russia as far back as 1988, it never received enough attention from the sports elite and laboratories producing nutritional supplements. The reason for this is the fact that, until very recently, there was no efficient enough way to extract and isolate it as a separate substance. Russian scientists had a very good version of the product, but it was insanely expensive - $20,000 per kilogram of pure raw material. The other choice for adding ecdysterone to the diet of elite athletes was Suma extract, which, however, contained such a small percentage of the substance that it was illogical to use it as a dietary supplement at all. After the year 2000, however, companies specializing in the extraction of highly potent components from plant sources found a way to improve the technology and stabilize and extract ecdysterone with 95% purity of the substance. This, in turn, allows the necessary concentration of the product to reach consumers and makes ecdysterone a valuable supplement for an economical diet. This is good news for anyone trying to increase their quality muscle mass, reduce body fat and improve their training performance. Here is a brief overview of how ecdysterone affects the human body: it dramatically increases quality muscle mass (Lean Body Mass), increases endurance, stimulates metabolism, improves nerve functions and helps the development and differentiation of red blood cells, maintains healthy blood sugar levels, reduces fat tissue, significantly improves almost every function of the body including the functions of the liver and brain, protects the body from loss of muscle mass while at the same time supporting the growth of muscle fibers.

Diosgenin (extract 95%) is a plant sterol in sweet potatoes that has been shown to be an effective substrate for the natural production of steroids (sex hormones) in the body. Diosgenin is a precursor to testosterone. In addition, diosgenin has a positive effect on normalizing cholesterol levels.

Fenusterols are extremely rich in saponin substances (5-6%), which are extracted from fenugreek seeds. Fenugreek seeds have been used since ancient times as a dietary supplement due to their restorative powers and abilities to stimulate digestion. In 1919 research shows that fenugreek seeds also contain natural steroid substances. Subsequent studies confirmed the presence of at least 12 different saponins, the main of which - diosgenin and its isomers - yamogenin, gitogenin and tigogenin. All these saponins are furostanols, i.e. have an anabolic effect and can be used in sports to increase muscle strength and mass, leading to improved training performance. Furostanols are also important for athletes in that they stimulate testosterone production and enhance spermatogenesis. Testosterone also plays a key role in sperm production, as well as improving overall reproductive function and post-workout recovery. From a sports nutrition perspective, the furostanol saponins contained in fenusterols have another important effect, as increased testosterone levels also increase muscle protein levels, which in turn leads to even greater increases in muscle mass and strength. . An important addition is that diosgenin helps to normalize cholesterol levels.

Forskolin is the main substance in the Coleus Forskohlii plant. The main effects of taking Forskolin are increasing muscle mass, strength and energy, increasing testosterone levels and reducing fat even without training.
